Sentinels Sign OWL Legend Surefour As Content Creator
LOS ANGELES (Feb. 3, 2021) - The Sentinels are pleased to announce the addition of Lane “Surefour” Roberts as a variety content creator for the organization.
The move to becoming a full-time content creator and streamer is preceded by an illustrious professional Overwatch career, which saw Surefour compete for the Los Angeles Gladiators and Toronto Defiant across the first three years of the Overwatch League’s existence. Surefour also represented Canada in the Overwatch World Cup four times, winning a silver medal in 2017 and bronze in 2018. Known for his sharpshooting abilities, Surefour took home first place during Overwatch League’s inaugural All-Star Weekend festivities in the Widowmaker 1v1 competition.
Always a fan favorite, Surefour continued to build his massive Twitch following, which stands at nearly 350,000 followers strong, throughout his professional career. Now retired from pro play, Surefour streams a variety of titles including Valorant and Apex Legends, both of which the Sentinels compete in.
Rob Moore, Sentinels Chairman, declared, “Surefour has always been a talented and versatile competitor. We look forward to supporting him in this next chapter in his career.”
Charlie Lipsie, Director of Esports at Sentinels, remarked, “Adding Surefour to our content creation roster marks the next step in continuing to build for the future of Sentinels. We are confident that his personality will shine as a member of Sentinels for years to come.”
We can not wait to see where the future takes Lane as the Sentinels continue to build a championship-studded roster in both competition and content creation. Welcome home, Surefour.
